Dr. Stefano Masiero received his graduate education and his Specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Padova (Italy). Currently, Dr. Masiero is Professor at the University of Padua for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Director of the Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine School at the University of Padua, Italy (Department of Neuroscience).
Dr. Masiero is delegate to Rector to University of Padua to cooperation with Chongqing Medical University, senior advisor of Asia-Pacific Institute for Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy Tourism, President subcommission of physical rehabilitation and sport of “The World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy” (FEMTEC), member of the Scientific Committee of Italian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (SIMFER).
Dr. Masiero has received many research grants from various government and state agents and published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers in leading SCI journals.Dr. Masiero is member of the scientific board of the 8 international peer-reviewed professional journals and his has received as invited lectures and chairman at more of 450 including national and international events and more than 20 Awards and Honors in his carrer.
Dr. Masiero’s current research interest is in the area of thermal & rehabilitation, clinical effects of the exercise (especially water exercise) in neuro-musculoskeletal disorders, new tools for Neurorehabilitation (robot-therapy), conservative treatment in spinal disorders and study of non-invasive musculoskeletal assessment, especially in spine disorders such as scoliosis and Scheuermann's disease in school-age children.
